Project Gutenberg eBook Download Guide
Project Gutenberg (link)is another great resource for free e-books that you can read on your Kindle, Ipad, Android or other e-reader device.
It focuses on books with expired copyrights by authors such as Jane Austen, Arthur Conan Doyle (author of the amazing Sherlock Holmes stories), Mark Twain, Lewis Carroll, Charles Dickens, Bram Stoker (author of Dracula), and many others.
Downloading from Project Gutenberg is much easier than downloading from Library Genesis – just follow this guide!
1. Go to the Project Gutenberg website
The two best ways I have found to enter are.
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/bookshelf/ The “Bookshelf” page on
or
https://www.gutenberg.org/browse/scores/top The “Top 100” list on
2. Search by category
Here you can search by several popular categories
3. Browse by “Top 100
This is a great way to quickly find Project Gutenberg’s most popular books
4. specific search
You can also search for specific books using the search box in the Book Search.
Whichever way you choose, you will eventually reach the download page
5. Download your eBook
You have now selected your book – all you have to do is download it!
We recommend downloading “epub” (with or without images) – if your e-reader can only read the Kindle format, download the Kindle format.
If you have trouble downloading, you may need to right-click the link and “Save File As”
6. enjoy your book!
